Programme Overview

By studying various aspects of Sport Management such as Facilities and Equipment Management, Sport Finance, Sport Marketing, Event Management, Human Resource Management as well as Sport Law, Universiti Malaya graduates will have strong and adequate knowledge to make a difference. The Sports Centre, Universiti Malaya will strive further to improve the quality of the Sport Management programme in order for future graduates to become even more professional.

Additional Requirement

  • Active in sports by providing evidence of experience or involvement in the field, and having at least represented the state/national level or having been a former athlete/referee/team manager
  • Certified to be free from serious physical disabilities and mental illnesses, serious infectious diseases, and has never been convicted of any criminal activity that would have implications as a medical practitioner. Failure to provide valid and accurate information, especially regarding one’s health status as a future medical practitioner, may result in the application being rejected and/or termination of studies in this field.

Additional Requirement

  • Candidates who apply must be active in sports with submission of evidence of experience or involvement in sports.
  • Certified healthy from serious physical disabilities and mental illness (exceptions may be given to candidates who have physical disabilities that can be corrected and / or do not prevent candidates from conducting clinical activities required by medical practitioners)

English Language Requirements

  • Obtain a minimum of Band 3.0 in MUET for examinations starting from Session 1 of the year 2021, or Band 3.0 for examinations up to the year 2020, according to the validity period on the date of application
  • Applicants without MUET but with the following results may be considered for conditional admission, provided they fulfil MUET requirement within ONE (1) academic session:
    • Obtain at least Band 4.5 (Academic) in IELTS; or
    • Obtain a minimum score of 33 in TOEFL iBT (Centre-based)
  • MUET 3.5; or
  • IELTS (Academic) 5.0; or
  • TOEFL iBT (Centre-based) 40; or
