BACHELOR OF MUSIC


Programme Overview

The Bachelor of Music is one of the core programmes started in 1997. After decades of educating and producing quality graduates in music, our programme has been striving to improve teaching and learning on par with leading universities worldwide. The curriculum is designed to develop students' musical craft and creativity in performance and theoretical studies in related domains. The Bachelor of Music focuses on four areas of study - Performance, Composition, Ethnomusicology and Education and students can expect to be taught by leading ethnomusicologists, musicologists, music composers, music educators, and professional performers of various backgrounds.

  • Obtain a minimum of Band 2.0 in MUET for examinations starting from Session 1 of the year 2021, or Band 2.0 for examinations up to the year 2020, according to the validity period on the date of application
  • However, applicants without MUET but with the following results may be considered for conditional admission, provided they fulfill the MUET requirement within ONE (1) academic session:
