MASTER OF PERFORMING ARTS (DRAMA)


Programme Overview

This programme offered with 42 credits and the duration of the course is three (3) semesters minimum and eight (8) semesters maximum.


Candidates will able to organize an effective research works in drama & theatre, have some view and opinions on modern and contemporary Malaysian Drama. Candidates will also organize a production in one of the theatre discipline such as producer, production manager, artistic director, director, scenographer, stage manager, technical director, artist, researcher or educationist.

General Entry Requirements

For applicants with a CGPA of not less than 3.00:
  • Possess a Bachelor’s Degree with a CGPA of not less than 3.00; or

For applicants with a CGPA of 2.50 – 2.99 (must fulfill at least one of the following):
  • Graduate from University Malaya; or
  • Accumulate at least one (1) year of work experience in related fields; or
  • Produce publications in related field; or
  • Receive a scholarship; or
  • Serve as a staff member of a government agency; or
  • Pass an interview by Faculty; or
  • Pass a Special evaluation by Faculty.
