The Master of Oral Science is a full-time clinical program. It is aimed at providing a learning framework that allows candidates to advance the academic and clinical skills in aspects of general practice dentistry and research skill, in preparation for further specialist doctorate training. It is a prerequisite to the Doctorate Clinical program. It is also aimed at updating dental practitioners on current advances in clinical practice and issues in the delivery of general practice dentistry. It can also be a pathway for candidates to enter PhD through a research program.

For applicants with a CGPA of not less that 3.00:
Possess a Bachelor's Degree with a CGPA of not less than 3.00; or
For applicants with a CGPA of 2.50-2.99 (must fulfill at least one of the following):
Graduate from Universiti Malaya; or
Accumulate at least one (1) year of work experience in related fields; or
Produce publications in related field; or
Receive a scholarship; or
Serve as a staff member of a government agency; or
Pass an interview conducted by Faculty; or
Pass a Special evaluation by Faculty.
