This program will produce professional educators in the field of measurement and evaluation, who are able to research into, create and administer various tests for evaluation in the field of education.

Entry Requirement

General Entry Requirements

For applicants with a CGPA of not less than 3.00:
  • Possess a Bachelor’s Degree with a CGPA of not less than 3.00; or

For applicants with a CGPA of 2.50 – 2.99 (must fulfill at least one of the following):
  • Graduate from University Malaya; or
  • Accumulate at least one (1) year of work experience in related fields; or
  • Produce publications in related field; or
  • Receive a scholarship; or
  • Serve as a staff member of a government agency; or
  • Pass an interview conducted by Faculty; or
  • Pass a Special evaluation by Faculty.

  • Special Requirements:


    • Applicants with a Bachelor's Degree (Non-Education) (CGPA: ≥ 3.00)

      Must fulfill at least ONE of the following criteria:

      • Possessed a Postgraduate Diploma in Education (minimum CGPA 3.00); or
      • At least three (3) years of work experience experience in a related field (e.g. Human Resources, Education, Malaysian Examinations Board); or
      • Have taken a Statistics course at Bachelor of Diploma Level and obtained a result of at least Grade B (Grade Value: 3.00); or
      • Professional qualification from a recognized professional body; or
      • Other qualifications approved by the Senate from time to time


      OR

    • Applicants with a Bachelor of Education or Bachelor of Psychology or Bachelor's Degree with Education (CGPA: 2.70 - 2.99)

      Must fulfill at least ONE of the following criteria:

      • UM graduate; or
      • At least three (3) years of teaching experience in related field (Human Resources, Education, Malaysian Examinations Board); or
      • Have taken a Statistics course at Bachelor's or Diploma level and obtained a result of at least grade B (Grade Value: 3.00); or
      • Published in a related field; or
      • A Scholarship holder; or
      • A Government servant; or


      OR

    • Applicants with a Bachelor of Education or Bachelor's Degree with Education(CGPA: 2.50 - 2.69)

      Must fulfill at least TWO of the following criteria:

      • UM graduate; or
      • At least Three (3) years teaching experience in a related field; or
      • Have taken a Statistics course at Bachelor's or Diploma level and obtained a result of at least grade B (Grade Value: 3.00); or
      • Published in a related field; or
      • A Scholarship holder; or
      • A Government servant; or
      • Pass an interview by PTj; or
      • Pass a Special Assessment by PTj; or
