MASTER OF FACILITIES AND MAINTENANCE MANAGEMENT



Programme Overview

The Master of Facilities and Maintenance Management (MFMM) is accredited by the Royal Instituition of Chartered Surveyors (RICS), United Kingdom. 


The programme syllabus are formed to meet International (RICS, BIFM, IFMA) and Local (CIDB) requirements, which aims to produce competent FM professionals equipped with current innovations and skills. 


The programme seeks to develop competent facilities managers that are in control for both strategic and operational management of services and processes that support the core business of an organisation. 


This product will ensure that an organisation has the most productive working environment for their activities, utilise by its employees and their business community at large. 


The programme also offers a scientific approach to facilities managers to innovate facilities management delivery, by focusing on using best business practice to optimise resources through soft and hard aspect of facilities management provisions.

Entry Requirement

General Entry Requirements
  • For applicants with a CGPA of not less than 3.00:
    • Possess a Bachelor’s Degree with a CGPA of not less than 3.00; or
  • For applicants with a CGPA of 2.50 – 2.99 (must fulfill at least one of the following): 
    • Graduate from Universiti Malaya; or
    • Accumulate at least one (1) year of work experience in related fields; or
    • Produce publications in related field; or
    • Receive a scholarship; or
    • Serve as a staff member of a government agency; or
    • Pass an interview conducted by the Faculty; or
    • Pass a special evaluation by the Faculty
Specific Entry Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree Qualification: Possessed a Bachelor's Degree as below :-
    • Bachelor of Real Estate; or
    • Bachelor of Science in Architecture; or
    • Bachelor of Urban and Regional Planning; or
    • Bachelor of Quantity Surveying; or
    • Bachelor of Building Surveying; or
    • An equivalent qualification in a related field from a recognised university.
