Entry Requirement

General Entry Requirements

For applicants with a CGPA of not less than 3.00:
  • Possess a Bachelor’s Degree with a CGPA of not less than 3.00; or

For applicants with a CGPA of 2.50 – 2.99 (must fulfill at least one of the following):
  • Graduate from University Malaya; or
  • Accumulate at least one (1) year of work experience in related fields; or
  • Produce publications in related field; or
  • Receive a scholarship; or
  • Serve as a staff member of a government agency; or
  • Pass an interview conducted by Faculty; or
  • Pass a Special evaluation by Faculty.

Specific Entry Requirements

  1. General University Requirements: Fulfill the General University Requirements
  2. Bachelor's Degree Qualification: Possessed a Bachelor's Degree
  3. Equivalent Qualification: N/A
  4. Related Fields: The field of English Studies, Linguistic, or any related fields.
  5. Special Requirements:
    1. Fields other than English Language studies or Linguistics studies with a CGPA of at least 3.0 or equivalent; and at least one year of working experience in a field related to the usage or study of English language or Linguistics studies
    2. Bachelor's degree with a CGPA of less than 3.0 or equivalent; and at least two years of working experience in a field related to the usage or study of English language or Linguistics
