Programme Overview

The Diploma in Nursing at the University of Malaya Medical Centre (UMMC) is a 3-year, practice-oriented program designed for school leavers to become registered nurses. Located at the College of Health Sciences, it covers nursing science, clinical care, and specialized subjects like anatomy and pharmacology. Entry Requirement

Entry Requirement for Program Diploma in Nursing as follows:

All candidates applying must meet the general conditions & special conditions as prescribed as follows.


Passed Sijil Pelajaran Malaysia (SPM) or equivalent;


and 


Obtained credits in Malay Language (including passing the oral test), English Language, Mathemathics, and passed the History subject;


and


Obtain a Credit in two (2) other subjects, with one (1) of the subjects being Core Science / Pure Science (preference given to Biology);


and


Candidates are certified by a Registered Medical Practitioner at a Government Clinic / Government Hospital / Private Hospital / University of Malaya Medical Center that they are physically and mentally healthy and do not have any disabilities that make them unsuitable for training;


and


Candidates must be between 18 to 25 years old;
