Programme Overview

The Diploma in Nursing at the University of Malaya Medical Centre (UMMC) is a 3-year, practice-oriented program designed for school leavers to become registered nurses. Located at the College of Health Sciences, it covers nursing science, clinical care, and specialized subjects like anatomy and pharmacology. The program focuses on producing competent, ethical caregivers, with applications generally opening early in the year.

Entry Requirement

SPM (Current Year / Not From Current Year)

Malaysian citizen

AND

A pass in the Sijil Pelajaran Malaysia (SPM)

AND


Obtain at least a Grade C in all of the following subjects: 

  • Malay Language
  • English Language
  • Mathematics


AND 


Obtain at least a Grade C in TWO (2) other subjects, and ONE (1) of the subjects must be as follows:

  • Core Science / Pure Science
  • Biology

A pass in History subject

Candidates must be aged 18 years and above
