DIPLOMA IN MEDICAL LABORATORY TECHOLOGY

Programme Overview

The Diploma in Medical Laboratory Technology at Universiti Malaya (UM), offered through the University Malaya Medical Centre (UMMC) Kolej Sains Kesihatan, is a 3-year full-time program. It combines theoretical, practical, and clinical training to prepare students to be Medical Laboratory Technologists (MLTs) specializing in diagnostic laboratory sciences.

Entry Requirement

Entry Requirement for Program Diploma in Medical Laboratory Technology are as follows:

A pass in the Sijil Pelajaran Malaysia (SPM) or its equivalent is required

AND

Obtained credits in Malay Language (including passing the oral test), English Language, Mathemathics,

and passed the History subject;

AND

Obtained credits in two other subjects which are Biology and Chemistry

AND

Candidates are certified by a Registered Medical Practitioner at a Government Clinic / Government Hospital / Private Hospital / University of Malaya Medical Center that they are physically and mentally healthy and do not have any disabilities that make them unsuitable for programme

AND

Candidates must be aged between 18 to 25 years;
