The Advanced Diploma in Emergency Nursing at University Malaya Medical Centre (UMMC) is a one-year (3-semester) full-time program designed to equip nurses with specialized knowledge and skills for managing critically ill or injured patients. It combines theory and clinical practice, focusing on trauma, emergency management, and leadership skills for registered nurses.

Entry Requirement

SPM (Not From Current Year)

Malaysian citizen


AND


Pass the Sijil Pelajaran Malaysia (SPM) / equivalent qualification with a credit in Malay Language / Bahasa Malaysia, and Pass the History subject for SPM 2013 and onwards;


AND


Possess Diploma/Bachelor in Nursing from a recognized institution by MQA;


AND


Registered with the Malaysian Nursing Board;


AND


Possess current practicing certificate/Retention of Name (RON) for nurses from the Malaysian Nursing Board before clinical placement;


AND


Possess a minimum twenty-four (24) months of clinical work experience;


O-LEVEL / Equivalent (Not From Current Year)

Passed the General Certificate of Education (GCE) ‘O’ Level or equivalent or other qualifications recognized by the Senate;


AND


Hold a nursing diploma / degree from an institution recognized by the Malaysian Nursing Board;


AND


Registered with the Nursing Council of the country of origin;


AND


Possess current temporary practicing certificate (TPC) from Malaysia Nursing Board before clinical placement;


AND


Minimum twenty four (24) months clinical working experience;


AND
